In the heart of downtown Columbia, South Carolina, the inaugural 2024 Juneteenth Entrepreneur, Film, and Television Extravaganza (JEFTE) is set to dazzle attendees from South Carolina and surrounding states on June 18-19, 2024. This transformative two-day event promises to celebrate, educate, and inspire by honoring the rich legacy of Black entrepreneurship, culture, and art through film and television. The event boasts an array of captivating activities, including an Entrepreneurial and Entertainment Summit that brings together celebrities, visionaries and innovators, the premiere of the compelling Documentary Film, “Columbia’s Black Wall Street” also known as the Historic Black Business District which delves into the history and resilience of Black-owned businesses, nationally known live band and Grammy award winning artists performances that will bring the spirit of Juneteenth alive, and various activities that showcase the vibrancy and creativity of Black culture. JEFTE serves as a powerful platform that not only fosters community engagement and cultural appreciation but also promotes economic empowerment for Black entrepreneurs and creators. By bridging the gap between the public and private sectors, this Extravaganza is poised to make a lasting impact on the community and beyond.
