Join with the Brookland Baptist Brotherhood and the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (NABCJ) for a Martin Luther King, Jr, Day celebration and remembrance!

The program will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. in the Brookland Banquet and Conference Center, 1066 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC 29169. Tickets are $25.00 each. Our Theme is “Where Do We Go from Here?” The keynote speaker will be The Honorable Congressman James E. Clyburn.

Let’s all keep in mind the Major Intersections along the road we have traveled: Slavery --1619 to 1863 (Dred Scott v. Sandford 1857); Separate But Equal – (Plessy v. Ferguson 1896); Equal Treatment Under Law – (Brown v. Board of Education 1954 & Civil Rights Act of 1968). Congressman Clyburn will help us consider and plan the road ahead.

Tickets can be purchased after each Sunday morning worship service on January 1st and 8th in the lobby of the Brookland Health and Wellness Center, or by contacting O’Neal Smalls at 803-776-8072; Warren Gadson at 803-463-5026 or H.S. Tate at 803-960-7082.
